The Land of Faerun boasts many places where students can pursue an education in magic; such as the education found at the Conclave of Silverymoon or the zealot studies of Arach-Tinilith.
Not to mention the hundreds of sages or retired legends who take on eager learners under their wings hoping to learn from experience.

However,

An acceptance to Strixhaven is a Weave-user's dream come true.

Founded seven centuries ago by five ancient dragons, Strixhaven is the premier institution of magical learning, drawing the curiosity and eagerness of young magi from all over Toril.

Whilst Strixhaven is a magical university, this does not mean the non-magical is shunned; those who show great potential or enthusiasm in the art of the Weave are allowed to submit applications!
